We are pleased to announce a limited number of full (value $250) and partial (value $125) scholarships are available to the 2011 Fitness & Health Bloggers Conference. (Update March 21: All the Full Scholarships have now been distributed.)
We understand blogging is a side venture for most fitness and health bloggers, sometimes designed to support your personal business but often just a labor of love. And we realize the costs of attending a conference can be high when counting registration, flight, hotel, and meals.
That is why we are doing our part to help those of you in financial need attend the Fitness and Health Bloggers Conference in Boulder. If you are a student, between jobs, starting a new business, or with other financial constraints we invite you to apply for a scholarship. All you have to do is email info@fitnessbloggersconference.org, title the email “Scholarship Request”, and offer us the following information:
- What is your name and your blog name?
- Are you seeking a full or 1/2 scholarship? Update: We now only have 1/2 Scholarships available.
- Due to what circumstances are you in financial need?
- Why do you want to attend the conference? (Note: You don’t have to do so but we would love to have you write about this on your blog as well!)
- If you receive the scholarship, will you be able to attend and cover your other costs? (We don’t want to give out scholarships that will go unused.)
If you do receive a scholarship, there are other ways to reduce your costs. Consider leaving a comment on the Details page of this website seeking to share airport rides or hotel rooms with other attendees. Walk to Whole Foods and buy food for your breakfasts and lunches. Start looking for airfares now; there are flights to Denver for less than $400 from most US cities. Or contact one of your local fitness-related companies to suggest they fund your airfare and hotel in return for you providing a report based on what you learn at the conference of how they can use social media in their marketing.
We hope to see you all in Boulder!

I am so excited to have received the scholarship for this. I can’t WAIT to come to Boulder!!
Would love to go, but that is the same weekend of my first triathlon!!
Would love to go, but can’t afford it.
Maybe next year?
Heather, do you know we have scholarships available that can reduce the registration fee for those in financial need?

I know that all of the full scholarships have been distributed but do you still have half- scholarships?
Hi Katy,
We do have 1/2 Scholarships available. Please apply by sending in the info in the blog post and we’ll evaluate your application.

I am interested in learning more about health, fitness and blogging. I really want to attend to be surrounded by like-minded individuals. I will have just completed our 1st Virtual Joggermom Marathon which was open to women all over the world. I would love to find sponsorship for the event next year and improve my own blogging identity on the net. I will be able to attend if given a 1/2 scholarship. I have had the information for the conference sitting in front of me for months now. I of course would share my attendance with all of my blog followers, Facebook Fans and Twitter Followers. I hope I am considered so that I can finally get a move on with plans to attend the Fitness and Health Bloggers Conference.
Best Regards,
Kelly Morse
I know there are half scholarships left… is that still the case?
Brittany, there are still 1/2 Scholarships available. Please apply as per the outline on this post.
